The calendar will be made back up-to-date in the future. For now, events are postponed. If you are part of an outside group who uses our facility, please contact whomever is in charge of your group to find out about dates and times of your meetings and functions.
A new beginning is upon us! November 29th marks the first Sunday of Advent, which draws us into a new liturgical year: Lectionary Cycle B. Mark’s Gospel will be front-and-center in the months to come as we again, week by week, walk through the story of the life of Jesus the Christ. What new beginning are you hoping for in this season? Read this week’s Gospel ahead of time, and join for at-home video worship this coming Sunday morning: Mark 13:24-37 (bible.oremus.org/?ql=473319389).
+ Please find attached the Bulletin for our Nov. 29 worship service.
+ The Messiah Cookbook Project is underway -- please see the attached announcement for pertinent details -- the submission deadline is November 29.
+ Prayer Requests: during this "stay at home" period -- we encourage you to make prayer requests for the weekly Bulletin and monthly Grace Note by sending these to the church via email: email@example.com (send by Wednesday at noon for Bulletin inclusion the following Sunday).
+ If you or someone you know needs assistance with food or has other needs during this uncertain time, please call the church office or send us an email, and we can assist as we are able.
- Pastor Paul
5200 Mayfield Road, Lyndhurst, OH 44124
We welcome all people to our worship services. If you are visiting, please feel free to introduce yourself to Pastor Paul. Our congregation strives to be a warm and welcoming place for all.
What is a worship service like?
Our worship service follows in the tradition of centuries of Christians before us. We sing hymns both traditional and contemporary accompanied by various instruments: organ, piano, and guitar. Our choir sings anthems both old and new and our bell choir lifts us to new levels of worship when they play for us.
What kinds of people are there?
On a typical Sunday, you'll see all kinds of people - from new parents proud of their young children, to teenagers participating in our youth group, to senior adults hanging out with life long friends. Messiah is truly a multi-generational community of faith with people from all walks of life.
What should I wear?
Come as you are! While you might tend to worry about what to wear to church, you will fit in just fine whether you come in jeans and a t-shirt, polo and khakis, or a suit and tie. What is in our hearts is more important that what is on our body!
As Christians we are called to serve others.
Messiah provides many opportunities to help
those in need. Check here to see in which
ministry you can offer your assistance.

"A new command I give you, love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all will know you are my disciples, if you love one another."
John 13: 34-35
Our Lord has given us so many blessings! We at Messiah want to share those blessings with the world. We love because we have been loved by Christ. We serve because we have been served by Christ. We welcome you to the Messiah family because Christ has welcomed all of us into God's family. Come worship, learn, and serve with us. Everyone is welcome!
Even though we can't currently be next to one another to worship, we lift our praises and prayers to God as we gather at our own homes and follow along with online worship. The current service and bulletin are on the home page. Past services can be found by clicking below:
