"A new command I give you, love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all  will know you are my disciples, if you love one another."
John 13: 34-35

Our Lord has given us so many blessings! We at Messiah want to share those blessings with the world. We love because we have been loved by Christ.  We serve because we have been served by Christ. We welcome you to the Messiah family because Christ has welcomed all of us into God's family. Come worship, learn, and serve with us. Everyone is welcome!

Even though we can't currently be next to one another to worship, we lift our praises and prayers to God as we gather at our own homes and follow along with online worship. The current service and bulletin are on the home page. Past services can be found by clicking below:

As Christians we are called to serve others.
Messiah provides many opportunities to help
those in need. Check here to see in which

Welcome to Messiah Lutheran Church!

It is good to be together, even if we are meeting online and/or in the church parking lot. If you are new to Messiah, you can find out more about our community here on our website or on our facebook page. During this current health crisis, we will upload our service to the Home page of our website each Sunday morning and our Lenten Vespers every Wednesday evening during Lent. We invite you to follow along at home with the order of service included above the video on the Home page.

Prayer Concerns can be shared via email (pastor@messiahlyndhurst.org) or phone (440-442-6941). Please indicate if you would like your request to be considered for inclusion in worship. Please note that some elements of the service are pre-recorded and prayer requests may not make it in until the following week.

Children are encouraged to participate at home as they are able. If you would like an at-home Sunday School Lesson Packet, please contact Cheryl Moser for more info at SundaySchool@messiahlyndhurst.org or CLICK HERE to check out the Sunday School Facebook page.

The Sacrament of Holy Communion is typically celebrated the first and third Sundays of each month, as well as on festival days. The date of our next Communion Sunday is TBD. If Communion is new for you, we invite you to have a conversation with Pastor Paul.

Messiah Missive #58

Dear Church, This coming Sunday marks the second in the Lenten cycle, and brings us to a second covenant from the Hebrew scriptures: God’s promise to Sarah and Abraham that God will make a great family through them and their children. In our baptism, we, too, are joined in God’s family, and are invited into the costly work of the Gospel. Read the Gospel text ahead of times as we prepare to worship together at home this weekend: Mark 8:31-38 (http://bible.oremus.org/?ql=481354682).

+ Please find attached the Bulletin for this coming Sunday's worship service (February 28, 2021).

+ Lenten Vespers Bulletin: Please note that our next Lenten Vespers Bulletin will be distributed via email on Monday, March 1 in advance of the Wednesday (3/3) online prayer service.

+ Special Notice From Randy Hodgkinson c/o Vicki Lester: Randy Hodgkinson here. Hope all is well with you! I am sorry we had to miss the annual Robert and Esther Memorial concert at Messiah last summer. Maybe we will be able to resume sometime soon. Life has been strange to say the least! I would like to share the link to a performance I gave recently of the Goldberg Variations. Hope you like it and hope you can share it with folk from the church (it is up and free until the end of February). Best to you all! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvCrUjnrRj0&feature=youtu.be

+ Prayer Requests: during this "stay at home" period -- we encourage you to make prayer requests for the weekly Bulletin and monthly Grace Note by sending these to the church via email: office@messiahlyndhurst.org (send by Wednesday at noon for Bulletin inclusion the following Sunday).

+ If you or someone you know needs assistance with food or has other needs during this uncertain time, please call the church office or send us an email, and we can assist as we are able.

- Pr. Paul
